Great to have you here! Stromroute is our travel blog about long-distance trips by electric car. We want to show that you can go far on electricity – from Switzerland across the Balkans to Turkey, or by ferry all the way to the Canary Islands.
What to expect: routes and stages with every charging stop, experiences with charging stations and charging cards in different countries, plus costs and time needed – told honestly, even when something doesn’t work out.
We travel in very different cars: since May 2026 Steffen has been driving a BMW iX xDrive50, before that a VW ID.3 Pro S. Jurgita drives a Leapmotor B10 Pro Max. That lets us compare what really matters on long trips.
